Installing Yardi yCheck

Using the Yardi yCheck utility, you can configure a client workstation to print checks on a local or network printer. You must install yCheck on each computer that is authorized to print checks. yCheck is a separate application that requires its own installation executable file. yCheck creates a file association on the client workstation that permits the local computer to process and print Voyager check files. yCheck also installs the AdvMICR.ttf font in the Windows\Fonts folder on the check-printing computer. To install Yardi yCheck

1	Restart the computer to clear any memory-resident application files or system utilities remaining from previous sessions.

2	Start the installer:

a	On the Windows taskbar, select Start > Settings > Control Panel. The Control Panel folder appears.

b	Double-click Add/Remove Programs. The Add/Remove Programs screen appears.

c	Click Add New Programs.

d	Click CD or Floppy. The Install Program from Floppy Disk or CD-ROM screen appears.

e	Click Next. The Run Installation Program screen appears.

f	Click Next. The Run Installation Program screen appears.

g	Click Browse to locate and select the yCheck_Installer.msi file (typically, in folder ..\yCheck60.08.xx.xxxx or ..\yCheck70.xx.xxxx, with the current version number of the utility).

h	Click Open. The installation source path and file name appear in the Open field.

i	Click Finish. The yCheck setup wizard screen appears.

j	Click Next and follow the on-screen prompts to install yCheck in the default location (typically, C:\Program Files\Yardi Systems\yCheck).

3	When a message appears indicating that Yardi yCheck installation has completed, click OK.

Following is a process summary: l After you have set up your bank accounts, you will add subfolders, under the yCheck installation folder (typically, C:\Program Files\Yardi Systems\yCheck), that are named with the bank account codes in the database. l You can use any image-editing application to scan and save your signature bitmap files, as needed. l For each bank account, you will copy your signature-bitmap files to the appropriate bank-code subfolders that you created.
