Setting Macro Security for Excel

To enable macros

1	From the Excel top menu, click File.

2	From the side menu, click Options. The Excel Options screen appears.

3	From the side menu, click Trust Center, then click Trust Center Settings. The Trust Center screen appears.

4	From the side menu, click Macro Settings. Select the appropriate setting. Yardi recommends that you select Disable all macros except digitally signed macros.

Click OK.

To set macro security

1	From the Excel top menu, select Developer > Macro Security. The Trust Center screen appears.

2	From the side menu, select Trusted Publishers.

3	Based on your Excel version, select the following check boxes:

If	Then select
Excel 2000	Trust all installed add-ins and templates
Excel 2002 (XP)	Trust all installed add-ins and templates Trust access to Visual Basic Project
Excel 2003	Trust all installed add-ins and templates Trust access to Visual Basic Project
Excel 2007	Trust all installed add-ins and templates Trust access to Visual Basic Project

4	If you are using Excel 2007 and Developer does not appear in the Excel top menu:

a	Click the Office Button, (), then select Excel Options > Popular.

b	Select the Show Developer Tab in the Ribbon check box.

Click OK.

5	If you are using Excel 2010 and Developer does not initially appear in the Excel top menu:

a	From the top menu, click File

b	From the side menu, click Options. The Excel Options screen appears.

c	From the side menu, click Customize Ribbon.

d	In the Customize the Ribbon field, select Main Tabs.

e	In the Main Tabs list, select the Developer check box.

Click OK.
