Setting Macro Security for Excel

To enable macros

From the side menu, click Options. The Excel Options screen appears.

From the side menu, click Trust Center, then click Trust Center Settings. The Trust Center screen appears.

From the side menu, click Macro Settings. Select the appropriate setting. Yardi recommends that you select Disable all macros except digitally signed macros.

To set macro security

From the Excel top menu, select Developer > Macro Security. The Trust Center screen appears.

From the side menu, select Trusted Publishers.

If you are using Excel 2007 and Developer does not appear in the Excel top menu:

Click the Office Button, (), then select Excel Options > Popular.

Select the Show Developer Tab in the Ribbon check box.

If you are using Excel 2010 and Developer does not initially appear in the Excel top menu:

From the side menu, click Options. The Excel Options screen appears.

From the side menu, click Customize Ribbon.

In the Customize the Ribbon field, select Main Tabs.

In the Main Tabs list, select the Developer check box.
