Installing YSL for Use with Voyager

The YSL Classic add-in, Yardi_DBLink.xla, is not included as part of Voyager 6.0.08.22 Service Manager.

It is included as part of a VWA install if you select “Spreadsheet Link” from the main Programs to be installed screen. In that case, the VWA installation process registers the YSL DLL into the machine, which is usually the Conductor machine as well, and copies Yardi_DBLink.xla (version 2.8x) to the install folder.

Before you can generate YSL reports in Voyager using YSL Classic, or in a mixed environment using both YSL Classic and YSL.Net, you must copy the YSL Classic add-in, Yardi_DBLink.xla (version 2.09, 2.6x, 2.7x or 2.8x), to the reports path of your database. The YSL .xls files that you want to generate as YSL reports must also be in the reports path.

The YSL Classic XLA is included with VWA or Enterprise installation, in the root directory where the program is installed.

If you want to design YSL reports using YSL.Net, you must copy the YSL.Net add-in, Yardi_DBLink.xla (version 3.x) to a path accessible to each workstation that you use to design YSL reports in Excel. Since Yardi_DBLink.xla is needed only at design time, it does not need to be placed in the reports path.
