Entering Multiple Sheet Functions
Working from a single YSL report template, the MultipleSheet functions let you replicate YSL report worksheets across a range of properties, a selected time period (monthly, quarterly, or annually), or both. These functions are especially convenient if you need to produce a separate YSL report for each property in a property list or a separate YSL report for each period across a date range (monthly, quarterly, or annually).
Entering a multiple-property YSL report template
In the following example, we have created a YSL balance sheet report template, YSL_Replicate_Property_Balance_Sheet.xls, where the MultipleSheetsByProperty function is entered in cell A19.
If you want to review the function's parameter settings, right-click cell A19 and select This YSL Function. A screen similar to the following graphic appears.
When you generate this multiple-property report, YSL generates a separate report for each property selected in the filter (including each property in a property list, if applicable):
Entering a multiple period YSL report template
In the following example, we have created a YSL balance sheet report template, YSL_Replicate_Date_Balance_Sheet.xls, where the MultipleSheetsByPeriod function is entered in cell A19:
The following graphic shows the parameter settings for the MultipleSheetsByPeriod function.
When you generate this report, YSL generates a separate report for each month in the date range entered in the filter's date fields (in this example, we entered a date range of 1/2010 through 3/2010):
