Defining Intercompany Relationships

The Interco Setup table determines the funding/funded relationships between entities. Each parent can have multiple children, but each child can have only one parent.

To set up intercompany accounting relationships

1	From the Voyager System Administration side menu, select System > Intercompany > Intercompany Table. The Interco Setup screen appears.

2	Complete a row for each relationship and type:

Type Select whether Voyager should use the combination of entities and accounts in this row for payables, receivables, journal entries, or all three. If you want to use a particular combination for two types, but not all three--for example, payables and receivables but not journal entries--add separate entries for each.

An entity must have an entry with the Type set to either All or Journal before you can manually create an intercompany journal entry for it.

Funded Prop Select the child property.

Due To Select the due-to account for the relationship. For information about due-to accounts, see “Adding Due-To and Due-From G/L Accounts”.

Funding Prop Select the parent property.

Due From Select the due-from account for the relationship. For information about due-from accounts, see “Adding Due-To and Due-From G/L Accounts”.

The Offset field displays the offset account for the due-from account. The Bank Account field displays the bank account for the funding property.

3	Click Save.

To edit or delete an intercompany accounting relationship

1	From the Voyager System Administration side menu, select System > Intercompany > Intercompany Table. The Interco Setup screen appears.

2	If you want to make changes, do so. For information about the fields, see “To set up intercompany accounting relationships”.

3	If you want to delete a relationship, click the appropriate Del check box.

4	Click Save.
