This section describes how to export transactions and trial balances from Voyager databases. You can export transactions to data files in XML and CSV formats. When you export transactions from Voyager, the export data file contains all relevant information that is associated with the transactions.

Exporting budget data from G/L budgets and worksheets

You can export both G/L budget data and budget worksheets by using the Voyager Budgeting and Forecasting module. You can also export budgets to Microsoft Excel worksheets and PDF documents. For more information, see the following references in the Voyager Budgeting and Forecasting User's Guide:

Using format templates for exporting to CSV files

When you export transactions from Voyager to CSV-format data files, you can use a format template file to specify, define, and format the fields that you want to export. Voyager includes a default format template file that you can access from the Export Transactions - CSV filter. For more information, see “Exporting Transactions to CSV Files”.

For more information about the default fields in a Voyager format template file, see “Format template files”. Exporting transactions to an XML file does not require a format template, because field type and format information is included in the file.
